he's got a 540i not a 540xi (the right move) so if that torquey B58 suddenly spools up mid tight corner those rear tires are gonna try to take a big step outward

I also want to drive a ZF8 speed car.

I literally, could not imagine a better transmission...in just about every way.... than the 10 speed in the Yukon, and they/y'all say the ZF is still superior even though it's older.

I've said it a bunch but I've never once caught it flat footed or in the wrong gear... like ever. It's literally about perfect.

So I can't imagine what a ZF8 must be like.

That's the advantage of a small, twin-scroll turbo like the B58 has. It's ALWAYS spooled unless you're idling. No "oh god it's trying to kill me" all of a sudden. Yes, you can 100% break the tires loose at will, but the power is very progressive. Like an NA motor, just "more".

However, don't try this with an S58. Going from 5psi to 25psi in under a second while mid-corner would be....an experience.

the LS is definitely somewhat 'boring' but that's where getting a bit blazed before driving it comes into play lol... take a few puffs, cruise around some empty highways at night with that incredible sound system going, wonderful way to unwind at the end of the day

oh the engine is impressively seamless, i assumed though he was more referring to the trans suddenly kicking down and hitting you with all that torque at once

and i love those "experiences" you refer to so i'd definitely try with the S58 haha

Probably not, but I wouldn't say it's out of the question that it may return one day.

Lexus LS name is iconic, even to non-car people.

Here you go, a better look at the details. Why the tiny wheels at the back?

Is that supposed to be like this, a vehicle that will never be put into production?
