about the grill and front he says, "... accented by piano black grill surround, with our vadar grill trim. the whole front has been widened and lowered for a little bit more aggressive stance to kind of give the yukon denali that suburban feel, cruising around the roads, that people are expecting."
what?
to me it just looks STUPIDLY tall.
That looks better from that angle with the really nice rims but still, I think they answered a question nobody asked. Refreshes that aren't as good as the original, but they had to do something bc it was time for a refresh. 3rd gen TL is a great example of that. Adding that stupid grill to the last of the SC400s is another example.

------^. That's not a Denali. I haven't gotten inside one yet but the interior is going to be very, very nice. Ours is and it's pre-refresh.The bottom door trim is a little plasticky but that's seriously about it for interior demerits. Our LX570 is the same way with that.
The new interior looks clean AF but I don't want that huge screen instead of buttons. I like our setup. I do like the new gauges, though.
@bitkahuna That is piano black trim where the buttons are and it is of extremely high quality.
Also, I used to think some people were crazy for coding off start/stop when you can just turn it off but I'm about to look into it lol. I always forget it's on by default. I'm also buying this thing that plugs into the ODB port that disables AFM.
I just feel like we got the perfect one for us looks wise etc, and this new one will be the perfect one for others who want more screens etc etc. Everybody wins.
I just find it hard to believe black high polish plastic is anything other than high polish plastic in terms of quality......it all feels the same to me and all smudges the same, endlessly annoying.
If something has piano black it should be over real wood with a crazy amount of lacquer
Looks fine but it's a pain to maintain And if you REALLY look at it you can see dust and an army of scratches Vs actual wood.......
Much nicer and the only way to have piano black IMO. Yes I know the ends are plastic, I hate it too. The phaeton is leather there lol!

Alright I want some opinions, finally got up close to both. Which do y’all like better? I don’t dislike the refresh but the truck doesn’t look as mean. Why did they change the razor looking grill????
I prefer this one.
But I think I like the interior of the new one better. It looks cleaner and they got rid of the horrible push button shifter.
The 48v makes it much better. I actually leave it on in the S580 most of the time, I only turn it off in stop and go traffic. On the S560 and the other 12V cars I have had it in I absolutely couldn't stand it
I'm always forgetting and hitting the button to turn it off, even after a year and a half of driving it.
Start stop really is the most god awful thing in existence. I can't imagine it in a cheap car.
just imagine if you couldn’t turn it off. Buick Lacrosse was like that. I heard of Lacrosse owners gaming the start stop by roll stopping at stop signs and shifting into neutral as they coasted towards stop lights
saw this Cadillac tonight. Cool doors handles that light up.

I was one of those Lacrosse owners. You probably don't remember it, but you asked me, at the time, how I got around the start/stop, and I described how I did it. It was more or less like the above, but not exactly....and I actually found a couple of different methods.

I think on some new BMW's it can't be turned off. It can be turned off in my 2024 X3 as well as G30 5 Series, but on both it comes back on with a restart.
I had to turn auto start stop off of my rental a few times. I didn’t feel comfortable with it turning the engine off while I was preparing to make a left-hand turn…

It depends on the year. The earlier G30's, like my 2017, you can turn it off and it's persistent. The later years it resets each time you drive it. I think on the G60 you can't turn it off at all unless you code it out.
Interesting video showing a teardown of a 6.2 GM truck engine. These bearing failures are pretty common on the Gen V 6.2's. Total carnage. If the NHTSA follows through and forces GM to do the right thing, it'll be a much bigger scandal than the Toyota engine failures. @Striker223@AJT123
