If it were me, I would keep it stock. I heard they built in a lot of overhead and they can safely push a lot of power, but again, I would keep it stock, but that's just me

Sooooo a 92ish GMC Jimmy did a fly by on me while I was doing 100mph today. This was after while driving down another highway a cat eye Silverado with slanted dual exhaust threw it in neutral and revved at me while I was on side of him.
Oh yeah I caught up to and passed the Jimmy but I was laughing and more impressed it could go over 100. My guess it had the 4.3 EFI under the hood. After passing I dialed it back and he comes flying up again.

And why are American workers able to assemble high-quality powertrains and vehicles—that is, when they're guided by Japanese management teams who didn't get their training at US business schools and aren't bidden to respond to US short-term stock market profit pressures?
Honestly you can do a lot with just an ordinary car. I’ve been all over the mountains of WV on off road trails and gravel two rut roads in all manner of cars, RWD cars, FWD cars, AWD cars. I have climbed big mountain hills with grass over the hood. You need AWD to get good traction in some scenarios but honestly you really don’t need an SUV for almost anything that any reasonable person would do.
all this talk of triple lockers and full time 4 wheel drive just to show off on some made up rock crawling course is absurd.if you want to go into really rugged terrain, hike it. i think my "2 wheel drive" (legs) can beat most any vehicle.
but yeah, i'm sure it's more but i bet the owner can afford more too.
