The issue is the seat has a lot of frankly crappy plastic around the base that makes noise, I don't know that replacing it will ultimately help. I'm going to use the lubricant that I have and some felt tape and see what kind of result I can achieve before I take it back over there.

Felt tape is very effective for issues like that, lubes are very hit/miss in my experience and they don't last forever.

I had to tape a few things in my LS460 and a BUNCH in the LS430 and also lube door seals on that car. It always creaked when going over train tracks without the seal lube

That's just for the aesthetics in the brochure, it would look weird if the end of the coolant needle was in the middle, hidden and not at an angle like the speedo and tach needles are.

Though yes, it's running hot if that were real life.

From what I have heard on the forum changing the seat doesn’t solve it because the same plastics are on the new seat. Gotta find a way to quiet the plastics rubbing on each other. Really dumb design

Hilarious they had it for 3 days and it sounds exactly the same lol

I like @Striker223 idea for felt tape.
Sounds like it could.last longer than lube.

that's a lot of trouble to not just have the wheel be turned slightly to the left haha... but at the time they were still relentlessly pursuing perfection so it's actually understandable

My S580 is the first car I have ever had with no engine temp readout on the gauge cluster. Kinda weirds me out.

I literally just fixed the creaking lol. It’s the fabric trim on the bottom of the seat back rubbing on the plastic sides. Pushed the fabric in to in front of the plastic where it’s not supposed to be. No creaking.

Hilarious. Dealerships man.

you can have it shown on the other screen if you bring up the engine data from within MBUX, i agree not ideal and i'd much prefer it be shown in the regular gauge cluster but it can at least still be accessed

this is from the GLE450 but i'd imagine your version looks fairly similar

you actually get a boost gauge! even my AMG doesn't get a boost gauge :(
