Did I miss what did you crossed your model 3 with?
Ioniq N?!?!?!
I saw an Ionic N at the Hyundai dealer in the summer. Wicked effort to make it look like a high performance machine. I liked the styling and the wheels looked awesome

Alright @BayeauxLex , here we go. I'll try and keep this short, and sweet
Starting summer 2024, I was looking to replace my Polestar, which the lease officially ended in Jan. Here are the cars I seriously looked at, in this order:
Tesla Model 3 Performance
Tesla Model 3 LR AWD
BMW i5 M60
Polestar 4
Cars I looked at but was not as serious about:
Hyundai Ioniq 5N
As you know, I only looked at EV's, as they are my preference for a daily commuter. I still love gasoline engines, but the best ICE I've driven doesn't match the driving dynamics an EV offers. That's not to say I would never get one, but now I can't go back. But that's another story for another post. The Ioniq 5N was eliminated pretty quickly because it's pricey, not very efficient, and it's a mid-life crisis car, and I've had my mid-life crisis . The Polestar 4 was also eliminated because of the high price, buggy software, lack of repair facilities, and uncertainty for the companies future.
So that leaves the Model 3 P and LR, and the i5. I really liked the i5, it's smooth, comfortable, quiet and fast, but because it's built on the same platform as the ICE, it's compromised. It also felt really heavy. Looks better than the Model 3, but to make it work for me, I would have to lease it. So that takes me into the next part, to lease, or to buy. And I just didn't want to get into another lease.
So that takes me to the two cars at the top my list, the Model 3 Performance and Long Range. As you know, I really wanted the Performance. But because the LR met all my needs, including performance, I narrowed my choice. What totally tipped the scales was the year end heavy discount, and I was sold on the Long Range AWD. So here we are
Just a quick observation I want to make since there has been a lot of talk about the New Model 3 eliminating stalks and going to button controls. I've already made my view on this, I think it was unnecessary, but I got used to it and it wasn't a deal breaker. But what I really wanted to point out is Tesla is not the only brand that does stuff because they want to be different or "cool". Has anyone used the shifters in the new BMW's?
I'm pretty tech savvy myself, and it took me some time to figure them out. I literally could not stick it in D or R until the owner showed me. I finally got the hang of it, but it took some time. I'm sure I would become a pro at it in no time, but was it a deal breaker? No. Did I think it was silly the way they set it up? Yes, but it didn't bother me a bit, I just figured this is how BMW does stuff
Now if you think BMW's way of doing a shifter is complicated, check out this guy trying to get this Lexus in gear:
BMW shifters still pretty much operate like any other traditional shifter, though. And by and large, you're not shifting while driving at speed. I don't know that's the same as stalk removal.
Going forward, I'm just going to assume that Tesla owners who don't miss the stalk never used their blinkers anyway So maybe there IS a connection to BMW drivers after all

Haha Lol so true 😂
I heard that their signals work weird, which is why BMW drivers never use them

I’m so green when it come to EVs. Never heard of a Polestar until reading about yours on here. Now I have to go look up the BMW i5 M60. Never heard of it. Although I did see some chargers at dealership but only BMW EV I’m aware of is the i7 and that’s because of @SW17LS and also I think they have a very small model.

So the reasoning I've heard from other BMW drivers is that on some models, the turn signal has two modes. A quick blip or locked on. If you accidentally go too far and lock it in, then you try and push the other way to turn them off, it often goes too far and now you're signaling the other direction like a jackass.
I haven't really had much of an issue with it in my G30. I don't find myself blinking any less than I do in the F-150(which is to say, I blink 98% of the time but occasionally forget when i'm changing lanes in a wide open freeway).

Well, that explains BMW drivers signalling right, than left but going right
