Flashed my tune today. Holy hell it's quick now. The turbo is singing.

It just works for me.

I always think about wanting to go but seems like too much of a hassle and $$$.

I actually don't ever go do any of that. I'm not big on going out like that.
So while there for Sema we spent some time on the strip and it was a lot of construction off to the side and I had no clue about the F1 race until someone said “they are tearing up Vegas again for some stupid race through town”. Immediately you kinda think of Isle of Man. Fast forward 2 weeks later and completely forgot all about the Vegas race until it aired after the NBA game on ESPN last night. Man it looked so cool!! They were hitting over 200mph and those lap times kept getting lower and lower.

Ballpark on power increase? What are others seeing on stage 1 tune? Do you have aftermarket intake? Wish you did a before/after with a draggy!! I really want to do a downpipe, maybe intake for turbo noises and 93/E85 tune but I’m under warranty and this is my first BMW experience. Read great things about the B58 but once I go down that 🐰 🕳️ it’s no turning back.

DO IT. If I am willing to do it on an engine that there is less than 350 ever sent stateside you can tune a common one like the B58 lol!

I rode 2 wheels 🏍️ on COTA years ago when it first opened. And also experienced the first Moto GP race there as well those guys hitting 215+ on the back straight!! I think I reached 170ish on the back straight!! Talk about deer in highlights, I was more excited about being on same track that moto GP ran on then I thought about trying to crank out quick lap times!! I’ll try to attach a video. I had to decompress it down to 480

I get you're a local but isn't it cool to have all that right there? Some of the world's best dining and shopping and hotels and spas (I went to the Encore spa it was like Aladdin's treasure room), and just all the madness would be fun to have a stretch down the street for whenever.
If I heard correctly those F1 cars are hybrids😏

If I had to guess, it's probably around 380 WHP. Stock was around 330-340 WHP. I'm on the 91 ACN tune which accounts for the poor quality of the fuel available to us here in Arizona, California, or Nevada. Our premium gas is 91 octane that's really more like 89-90. The best results are seen on either a true 93 tune or on ethanol.

I've gotta do some data logging to clean it up a bit with the tuner and get a warning cleared(it's saying I need oil service, which isn't correct. This is a common glitch after flashing and the tuner can fix it remotely).

Nice!! Can you run an E blend like E30-40?

Please don’t keep me in the loop on any updates on your tune…

When I had my 2020 M340 xdrive I had a stage 2 tune with new spark plugs and I was running 11.7’s at between 116-118 mph. I added a high flow catted downpipe and didn’t see any real gains except one run where I hit 11.64 at 119 mph but the road was sloped a little.

Downpipe is usually ones of the best mods you can do. The B58 is truly a special powertrain.

I don't know what a stage 2 includes but those 11 second times look good. 🚀
