A non-catted downpipe yes but this is the first time I have bought a high flow catted downpipe and while it sounded great, I thought my before and after times would have been better.
I have found that the downpipes mostly help response and spool not so much power if you are still on stock exhaust housing size. In Audi world we can get 700 wheel on the 4.0 engines with stock downs but if we change them we get about 1200 rpm better TQ curve and boost response so end result is not much difference in launch but HUGE change in transient response.
You’re the 0-60 racer but for some of us the race starts at around 50-60😏

I would be leaning towards a catted DP as well. I prefer no raspy sound, no CEL and the smell that comes with a non catted DP. I run a Catted DP on my FK8.

🤣🤣 I can believe this. We received multiple offers for some 🌳🌳s while down on the strip!! One guy even made a jingle trying to push his products. “I got pills I got trees I got everything you need” as he walked by.

DP is one of the first mods I do. I run an aftermarket DP on my FK8 with stock exhaust. If I mod the B58 I will probably run a similar setup. E85 tune maybe easiest and best mod for easy power.
Totally right about Vegas. It’s a 3 night place. I have a hilarious story about pot gummies in Vegas that is for a different thread lol
I can imagine, lol. It's so freaking awesome once you get there but by night 4 I want my peaceful house back. I always say that you can put me in the finest hotel or whatever, it still isn't gonna be as comfy to me as HOME.

Lol, tell that to my SL that participated in a 60-130MPH pull a few weeks ago.
The car isn't FAST FAST like you guys with insanely fast cars and tunes and race cars , etc. but it's definitely got those Mercedes high end top end legs...... It's way faster than I thought it would be, and I know my old Benzes.
The BMW I was racing got smaller and smaller in my rearview.
Also forgot to mention, I got to ride in one of my guys’ 08 GS460 in Charleston. He had driven it down there while the rest of us flew. It was a nice throwback. Had a lot of rattles at 140k miles though.

Where were rattles coming from? Did the car remind you of the 460 at all? Bc it's basically the same engine just 360 instead of 380hp.

No, rode nothing like the LS, the engine note was familiar but that was all. Just general interior rattles. I know that was an issue with that generation GS.
My 4GS rode better I think, of course it was much younger when I parted with it.
