So I go to fill up the LS430, get the shyyytiest gas pump ever that just stops and stops.

So it’s freezing out and I don’t have a coat, I had to sit in the back seat of the car and hold the gas pump and nurse it bc I didn’t want to stand there and freeze. I’m sure it looked strange. It was very, VERRRRY annoying.

 

I feel for you man! It's been cold and rainy here in the Bay Area. I plugged in last night and just let her fuel overnight



BTW, both my kids have COVID, so I'm working from home the rest of the week

It’s really cold and windy today. I can’t talk either, winters here are nothing but it does get cold.

Sorry about your kids, wishes for speedy recovery. We both went through it over thanksgiving weekend, awful.

 

Not really that cold. When it hits the lower 50's we pull out the winter gear . The Central Valley though does get below freezing.

I get impatient when the pump doesn't work and i'll hang it up and go to the next station.

 

Yep, I already had my Kroger discount for the tank in though so I had to finish.

It was very annoying.

 

My Durango SRT had an issue with pumping gas where it would make the pump shut off every 2 seconds unless I turned the nozzle upside down. So annoying and there was a fix under warranty but no way I was letting a Dodge dealer replace part of the gas tank because I know they would mess something else up. Instead I just lived with it.

 

Uggghhh yeah it was long ago but Lexus did a recall on our long gone IS350, something with the fuel system.... Months later the fuel pump quit...in a Lexus. Never heard of that it my life, let alone a Lexus we took care of and maintained. Can't prove it but I know the dealer screwed it up when they had it. That cost us about a grand.

Today was annoying, I just bet I looked strange and like an idiot sitting in the back seat pumping gas from there. I don't think I could have any patience with chargers, and that's not intended to start a debate nor am I talking mess.... dead horses. I imagine from home easy, but at chargers... I would get annoyed. I am TERRIBLY impatient.

 

Not to start a debate, but nothing is easier than charging a Tesla at a supercharger. You grab the charging cable, press the button, it will open the charging port, plug it in and sit in your car. Literally takes less than 5 seconds. Way, way easier than a gas pump. It even recognizes your car and automatically charges your credit card

 

can we take the gas pump stories out of ev forum please?
