maybe but i think this looks great (from lexus website).
funny part, the image url begins... https : // toyotaassets.scene7.com/is/image/toyota/Lexus-Gallery2...
This will depend a lot on the quality of the materials. If there is a lot of cheap plastic its not going to be great, if it has really nice materials then it may feel upscale enough inside...
I think the the 24" LC 500 is losing the cd player. I'm still tempted to get one with the new updates. I had a 2020. Come to think of it...the LC had no trim options except for the carbon fiber door scuff plates. Maybe it set the new trend for the TX.
I like endangered wood only for my furniture, guns, knives, speakers, and cars lol! If it's still going to be legal for import in 10 years I don't want it!
For me unique wood and leather is a major major selling point since it's a singular organism that was killed/utilized for a truly unique item. I'm currently importing an exclusive set for the W12
Don't think wood fits the character of the LC IMO. I know its meant to be more of a grand tourer than a pure sports car, but materials like alumium (which I'm pretty sure it has plenty of) and stuff like that suit it better. Leave the wood for the LS500 lol. I personally dislike wood trim in cars... but maybe thats because I'm at a point in my life where I'm into more sporty cars rather than land yachts.

I still loved my parent's 2002 RX 300 Coach Edition. Coach embossed perforated leather, bird's eye maple wood trim, and came with a large leather Coach Cabin Bag. Bring that back in the TX or RX! I don't mind not having wood in my sporty vehicle either. I had carbon fiber in my 718 GTS, 992 Carrera S, GS F, RC F. Aluminum in Cayenne Turbo Coupe and Macan S. But in my Luxury vehicle...give me the wood and real semi aniline leather or similar.

I couldn’t agree more that for a sporty car I don’t want to see wood trim, I would rather see carbon fiber or the like.
For the TX to separate itself from Toyota it should be more luxurious and wood trim will typically do this. Without it, it’s just another Toyota IMO. All of my Lexus’ had wood trim except for my 2016 IS350 F-sport which was more sporty and wood trim wouldn’t look right in that car.

don't understand the second point - you're saying you like it now, but won't in 10 years?

are you saying if your car were covered in elephant hide killed for your car you'd like that too?
i hope my future cars will have zero leather in them but it may be hard to get a car i like without it.

i like interior wood on some cars, but i agree, wouldn't want it on the LC.
back to the tx, i think i like this new tx interior because those pics remind me of my lc interior some... metal (or metal looking stuff) surrounds, and dark textured surfaces... my lc has the black interior.

No no, I meant that a lot of the stuff I have is now illegal to import so it's extra rare.
Leather quality is a big thing and I like how Bentley and RR does it, elephant is great for holsters etc but not for a car interior but for accents it guess it would work well? I normally prefer ostrich though if the item will have contrast and shark for borders. I have no interest in cheap artificial stuff like carbon fiber and aluminum since it is so common and not special, it's not rare or high end enough to serve as a primary trim IMO.
