I love the front of my 5th Gen RX (come at me! )... But the front of the TX is awful. It looks like you told ChatGPT to illustrate you a picture of a 3 Row Crossover SUV. It's so wildly generic, it could be any brand.

Lexus finally listened to people hating on the spindle, which honestly stopped no actual buyers from buying a Lexus product, and gave the complainers the new Lexus generic melted ice cream spindle grill. Thanks internet!

Looks fantastic inside and out! No crazy swoops or cut lines just to be different. I appreciate the traditional SUV design. Also dig the clean front styling. Best Lexus grille yet, in my opinion.
I would expect this to sell extremely well.

Default TX 550h+ Plug-in Hybrid

Just read the attached article on the TX550 plug in. Cant wait to get one. I am very happy that they kept the V6 and the CVT. The extra space and power will be welcome.. I would not get the 4 cyl under any circumstance.

there's not a lot to hate about the toyota hybrid eCVT/transaxle power split device. it's a direct connection and has no characteristics. i suppose the only thing you could hate would be the fact that it lacks shifting sensation. objectively it gets great fuel economy and maximum power gets to the ground--which is why it's efficient.
My issue is the droning engine sound feel with acceleration.

I mean, in this case, we already had the 2GR-FXS + eCVT combo in the RX 450h. So it's not much new in terms of what is actually getting torque to the wheels - unless you include the electric motor. That thing has to be significantly more powerful to get it to 400+ horsepower.

Oh Lexus, why can't you design a vehicle that just looks good everywhere that isn't the LC?
IMO, it's a good exterior design. Did you mean LC500? Because I don't think Landcruiser look good esps for the price tag.

Even this looks like its straight out of the Grand Highlander:
I'm not going to argue with you there. But you're fine with GX? Something about Lexus latest display design that doesn't look very harmony IMO.

"Fine" is the exact word I'd use for the GX interior, "acceptable" if I'm being less generous. It's going to fit perfect for what I want to use it for though. I'm glad I ended up rejecting the Hummer I ordered.

Color makes a big difference. The photos Lexus has released for the TX have some oddly bland color choices (both interior and exterior) that probably don't show the TX in its best light. I'd like to see the TX with some different color combos and interior shots without something other than black/gray.

eCVT works best with high output motors and have no issues with torque.

The LS600h drives very well. I preferred it to the 8 speed which has a longer delay when downshifting on the V8s.

great observation but a little uncalled for as the land cruiser has been related to the lx forever and referred to as LC so the request for clarification was completely reasonable.
