Mingofish Atlanta RCF build
He's from Charlotte but happen to be in town. We took advantage for a meet & greet.
Always so nice to see the person behind the posts & match the face to the car.
The custom carbon wrapped pieces from Lems were very special and looked great. Had me envious big time !!
He also told me about a TRD piece he has which is currently undergoing modification to fit his car since this piece was made for jdm right hand drive cars.
Just stay tuned for him to disclose & reveal. Very special piece. I would bet he's the only person in the US with this item. Drool...

Need to post this in the Pic Right Now thread. Your car looks even better in person. And CRAZY LOUD with the valves open. I think the folks across the street on the restaurant patio were like WT"F". Ha-ha.

My dctms custom wheel finally showed up after 9 months!!
of course I had to install asap!!
I want to thank Ron ( JT2MA71) for posting his Tom's wheel install which helped me immensely.
The wheel was ordered with these features:
Carbon fiber flat bottom wheel
red perforated leather side grips.
red solid leather bottom.
Gray stitching
carbon fiber Y-trim
two tone race ring (gray/red/gray)
Somewhere along the way, dctms refused to do the race rings. Said they would give refund for that part of the wheel.
I think a few wheels were done with rings not exactly centered and they no longer want to risk that possibility.
I was not expecting the "pods" (aka button cluster on right & left of the horn) to be wrapped in cf, but they showed up that way. Awesome!
A set of buttons also came with the new wheel. Nice surprise.
My car has radar so the right side buttons are slightly different. If it wasn't for that, I could have used the pods that came with it.
I will say the carbon finish looks good and the leather work looks just as good as oem. Overall I am happy with the quality.
Install wasn't terrible but never the less a lil nerve racking to mess with the air bag.
Switching of all the components from oem wheel to new wheel was relatively straight forward.
The only thing I forgot to swap was the clips which the air bag snaps into. I had everything back except the air bag wouldn't click in place.
Had to uninstall the whole wheel again and disassemble the new wheel inorder to put those clips in. Dang...
I tried to mark the center spline so the wheel will line up. But no go. It's gonna need a steering wheel alignment.
Btw that can done electronically via OBD II w/o a physical alignment if it's not off by much.
You "zero" out the old setting and set the wheel to physical center, then tell the car to recognize the new position as center.
Will go by my buddy's shop to do that soon.
Cheers!

Celebrating Lexus & Toyota from Around the Globe
specs:
Advan GT wheels in satin black 19" +35 square
Advan center caps (which I'm not totally sold on. May take off.)
Makin titanium lugs
Makin red anodized valve stems
Yokohama AD08R tires 275/30/19
i took car for a quick test ride after install.
Immediate change was the turn-in feel !! It is remarkably quicker & sharper with good feed back.
I will attribute most of the change to the new tires although I'm sure lighter wheel weight helped too.
These yoko are so much sharper than the PSS. The tire is super soft so for daily driving, tread wear would be an issue. I'm using these exclusively on the track so as long as they last 3-4 track weekends, I'll be satisfied.
Does the car feel faster due to less unsprung weight? Yes I think a little but nothing substantial.
welcome everyone's feed back on how the car looks with 19" advans (track only) vs 20" Rennen (red street wheels).
i think they look great for street or track

The biggest issue was poor communication. If I knew the wheel was sure to happen, the wait would have been less painful.
You should hit up boss moss. He mentioned he found a different source?
Guessing dctms will offer something sorta like this as as a standard thing. If you look at their thread under vendors, josh just posted a pic of a wheel very similar to mind but in different color leather.
@luis, let me know if you want the specific source...
I wouldn't mind having the source. Do you mind texting me that info? Thank you
