Mingofish Atlanta RCF build
Nice man in a brown truck brought me a present yesterday. Now just gotta find time to get them installed. Then send in ecu for RR to do their thing
My Advan wheels are due to be delivered Friday too. Excited!

Can't wait to see and hear it all.
Let me know next time you're going to track so I can check it out!
Also, you planning to check out SEAtlanta on Sunday?
Looking forward to it myself.
A lil nervous about no Lexus warranty now...plus dealing with the CEL issues.
I am getting the ecu tune so hopefully no CEL.
I'm out of town till Sunday afternoon so no on car show. One of these days we will hook up. May be Spocom. May be.
yeah headers are PPE.
Thought about sikky but one of my car buddy who works for a tune shop told me they installed a set (some other car. Either a suby or 240sx drift car. Can't remember) and the fitment wasn't good.
I'm not trying to blast sikky and say the rcf headers don't fit good. I don't know. But since there's so little people out there have em for rcf, I was hesitant to try even though it would have been $1k less and their hp claim is higher than ppe.
Hope I made right choice but too late now...
As far as battery..
can't say according to butt dyno any diff from the weight savings.
I'm just trying to reduce weight overall for track.
If mine was a street car, I wouldn't have bought prolly. Not for $500
Glad to see you're still getting car stuff done amidst wedding planning. Good for you bro!
Woohoo!! Finally got my Advans after 3 months. Man that boat was slooooow.
These are my track wheels. Square set up 10" front & rear.
Gonna run 275/35/19 yoko Advan AD08R for now.
Will try to see if I can run 295 front & rear but nobody has the Toyo R888R in stock...
Got some red rays valve stems to trick it out a bit too. The original Advan ones were black.
Also been waiting to put on my titanium Mackin lugs.
Can't wait for next track day!!!

Man I got my car back today after PPE install!
First, holy cow the car is loud!!! With my exhaust valves closed it's drivable on the streets.
With the valves open...I think I scare women and children.
The power gain is definite. Seems like lower end torque has improved too.
May be the butt dyno torque gain is actually better throttle response. But either way, the car feels faster and more responsive.
Good ol' CEL is on but hopefully next week that will be fixed once I get the ecu back from RR.
I did get a good wiff of "the smell" since I'm cat free now, but it's really not as bad as I've been led to believe.
Wonder what the car is putting down on the rear wheels now I've got FBO.
Time to set up a dyno session.

It's close!!!!
I got this photo yesterday.
This is the bottom side of the hood.
The top side is suppose to come out of the oven today.
Has been 10 long months wait for all the custom molds to be done and all the little kinks to be worked out.
Hoping by next week I should get a test fit.
So looking forward to seeing the final product!

Another sneak peak. The top side of the hood came out of autoclave yesterday. Sometime real soon they will marry the top to the bottom and I'll get to test fit it on the car. Hoping possibly that will be this coming week!!
Also got the ECU back from RR. About to install and go for a test drive today. Excited!!

Well, few peeps asked me about the tune. Thought I'd just post my thoughts.
Very first noticeable thing was the car ran smoother.
Right after I installed the PPE headers, the car had this rough raw feel & sound. Not sure if that was due to the cel being on.
I actually liked it, but the tune took the "raspy" sound and raw feel away somewhat.
Of course the cel is gone so I wonder if the computer just runs differently when there isn't an active cel.
The second noticeable thing, hate to say, is the car actually feels the same or even slower than before the tune...
It is possibly due to the knock sensor learned settings all going back to 15/minimum start point due to battery being disconnected.
That knock number can be as high as 25 max and I have to drive the car hard to get number back up.
Wonder if my previous number was really high due to me tracking the car and not driving it on the street much?
I took car out to the highway to do some long pulls but it's pretty nerve racking to constantly go from 60 mph to 120, then slow back to 60 and repeat. I was trying to be "safe" doing these pulls in 4th gear when I get a stretch of open highway but thought of getting pulled over going 120 isn't appealing so I stopped after like 6-7 pulls.
Guess I'll have to wait for next track day to get the knock number up.
