Update on the Amsoil oil filters. I received two more oil filters and one was skewed just like the first one, and the other had glue/epoxy at random spots on the filter element. I’ve contacted Amsoil and was given a label to ship all 3 filters back to them. I got a call from one of their reps the other day informing me that they see all the defects on all 3 filters. Amsoil agreed that those filters shouldn’t have gone out. I was told they were from an old batch and they’ve already notified their source. They’re sending me 3 new replacement filters. Awesome customer service from Amsoil!

What an amazing build. Love your car and all the details you put into it.

You’re a brave man. I’d never would think to attempt that myself. Skeered!

My windshield gets cracked and chipped from track. Twice in 3.5 years of ownership.
I claim it through insurance and have lexus dealer replace it with oem glass. I have the “glass” coverage which does not involve deductible plus not count against my claim record.

Good luck. Hope install goes smoothly.

Just curious, whats up with those motors?

Oh no, I didn't remove the old windshield, the glass guy did (dealer recommended) I only removed everything out of the way. I wouldn't dare do the glass removal myself and nick or scratch the CF roof!
He'll be back tomorrow to install the new Lexus glass. I wanted everything that can be replaced, replaced and parts had to ordered.
I didn't know there's a "glass" coverage, I'll have to ask my agent about that. Right now, my deductible is 250. Have you thought about doing exoshield? I'll be having mine done as soon as the new glass is on.
The engines on the stands? A 1UZ and 2JZ/1J head. Project engines for my IS300

Radium catch can installed! I don’t like the top straight fitting having to bend the hose, so I’ll order another 90 degree. It will work for now.

Looks good !!!
is it easy to dump? How does it release? Hope you don’t have to unthread fittings...
But I guess since you don’t track the car its prob not a big deal. Won’t be dumping all the time.
Like the hose clamps you got btw.

Undoing the hose connections and taking the can out would the the easiest way unless I get the optional petcock and drain hose. It isn’t too bad to undo the fittings as they don’t need to be overly tight. Thanks!

Changed the top fitting to a 90*. Much better routing of the hose.

Very nice! I need to pick up an AN fitting tool/connectors so I can make my own ends.
