I added a BEGI fuel managing unit. It is what I needed to throw in more gas during boost. I am sure that I should change/upgrade the fuel pump to keep the pressure steady.
What pumps would be the best??? Walbro's are the best option from what I have heard, but I would hate to have a whiney pump sound in my cabin.
toyota mkiv supra twin turbo fuel pump, flows as much as the walbro and is quiet
to deal with higher boost levels i suggest a boost-activated water/methanol spray, they sell some really elaborate kits on eBay for ~$350, a bit steep at first but if it saves the engine then it pays for itself. Or you can DIY.

I don't think the Supra pump is a high pressure pump. It's not just about flow, it's also about the pressure.
i've had success witht he fuel pumps from treperformance. they flow 255 lph but are quieter than the walbro 255's. they also have a better warranty.
good to see a boosted LS! take some vids!
I got the TPS code solved!!! Would you believe that the ECM took a dump...... I could not believe it, but luckily I had a backup ECM for many years collecting dust. I hope that it was just the computer and not something else that will eventually fry the replacement.
The fuel pump is on its way and should give me a added little boost. More to come soon.
I will be taking everything off to rebuild the blower and install some teflon coated rotors off a GTP pontiac. It will add about 1.5 - 2 lbs. of boost, so I am not sure about this mod. It will give me higher boost but with cooler temps I believe, so hopefully it does not detonate.
What do you think?
Yes--if the coated rotors do indeed add a bit of boost, it will be "safe" boost, in that your lower intake temps should compensate for the higher boost. For these positive-displacement Roots-type blowers, they can really heat the air up, especially if running beyond their efficiency range. If you are planning on running 10psi, then you also seriously need to consider porting the blower. Otherwise the charge temps get so high that controlling detonation is really difficult.
Glad to hear you found the culprit in the ECU--how did you determine that?
BTW, I don't think a higher-rated pump is necessary for <10psi--larger injectors would be a more elegant solution. But if you're just trying to get everything together for running 10+ psi, then you're covering your bases.
I was recieving the code 41 when I would accelerate hard from a stop. It kinda killed the injectors and the car would buck. I readjusted the TPS to spec. then checked continuity of the TPS wires to the ECM. It had to be the sensor itself or the ECM, luckily my backup is working and will continue to.
I do plan on 10 PSI and that should be it. With a high stall convertor and headers I think I would be very pleased with the results.
Only 6PSI is a big wake up call to the engine. You would be amazed at what it can do.
Thanks for your support in the adventure. We all know these engines are probably the best ever made. As long as each cylinder's compression is close to spec you will be OK. A tune will be needed of course. The transmission should be your first concern.

Are you thinking of going with a Dragon TC, or the Lextreme one?
Also, you may find out that headers aren't necessary--the stock LS headers are a really efficient design, with good scavenging properties. The SC guys are the ones that need headers--all the Aussie guys can attest to that.
To custom fab LS headers will be a major undertaking, and at the relatively mild power levels you're aiming for (yes, ~450hp is still considered mild on a 1UZ!) you may not see a lot of gain compared to the trouble of fabrication.

No need to custom fab! S&S has headers that will fit our car, you just need to do some custom welding for the EGR pipe.. and it may actually benefit you to just delete the EGR all together, which is an option.
