OK I just checked everything as the manual stated. It seems the idle contacts are staying closed even when the throttle is floored. The TPS sensor tested perfectly. I have continuity through each wire from the TPS. The ECM is the only possible problem.
So how can 2 ECM's go bad????
I am going to dish out $300 for a rebuilt unit...it sucks but it should help other aspects of the car also. I opened on ECM up and I saw multiple leaky caps and a few light colored area where maybe it over heated....it also had a nasty smell to it.

The extra $300 sure sucks but atleast you've been able to isolate the problem.. hope everything works this time around.

Is it possible that the voltage is spiking somewhere in the wiring? Very unlikely that two ECMs will go bad...

...best of luck to you in figuring that out. If you're not busy, you're welcome to come to California and try your kit on my car and ECM.

I got the new ECM and I have absolutely no problems now. I can only hope that it stays that way this time. I am sure the old ECM was also causing bad-erractic shifting, slow acceleration, and car shutting off after highway use as well.
There is a day and night difference!!!

I have all the wires to the SMT6 hooked up now I just have to tune it little by little. I searched for a dyno shop in my area, but I have not found one yet. Maybe Corpus or San Antonio is the only option there.

And I will be going out to Los Angeles one day so we can all meet up...818 714 310

You have to find a dyno shop soon! I'll help you! And if you're ever out in SoCal, I'll fly out there to check this beauty out

We need to get a video showing a 0-60 and how quickly you hit red line on a straight shot.
