Hey guys,
Video was to demonstrate low end torque. Even with big wheels and new tires on the back they will light up easily. On acceleration the car will take off without losing any traction.
I need to tune it ASAP. It is leaning out at about 3500 RPMs. I am sure I could hit 6 sec. 0-60 when it is tuned to about 12.0 @ WOT to redline. Maybe the regulator aint working right?? I am using the SMT6 piggyback, but I am having problems getting the car to run with it completely connected. Anybody have any experience with it???
Thanks.

Nice...It could be the regulator or the FMU. If you tune it right at 6 or 7 psi and the traction is good, you can run in the mid 5 second from 0-60.

There is a lexus back east with a super charger running a 1000 horse power and the engine is running fine. The story is that the lexus motor is so strong you really don't have to rebuild the bottom end to put on a super charger. I would also run synthetic oil with a super charger giving more proctection to the motor. I also heard a story ( not sure how much truth it holds) that the lexus engine is the only car engine in the world that can be put into an airplane and is fully FAA passed.

it sounds like you probably need a bigger fuel pump i'm not sure what the LPH flow rate on the stock lexus fuel pump is? but where i work at we dyno tune a lot of different cars and lately thats been a common problem most of our honda customers come in with set up's that seem street fast but on the dyno thaty always run way lean we change out the fuel pump and that usually always solves the problem same thing with the nissan sr20 swap only on a sr20 you can tell the difference with the pump and w/o it. I recommend trying the Walbro 255 LPH thats what we use for the hondas and nissans works great!

that hold somewhat true for the pre 95 (LS) and pre 97/98 (SC) and none of the GS4 motors, the first gen motors had much thicker rods.

1996 was the year that the SC400 received the revised motor, so it would be 1992-1995 for the SC400, 1990-1994 for the LS400.

no, 95 for hte LS and 96 for the SC were when the heads were redesigned (became interference, know for a fact on the LS, pretty sure for the SC) and the rods were SLIGHTLY changed. big change in rods came with the VVTi motors.

That's what I was referring to. The only 1UZ-FE's with fat, overkill rods are the ones found in 1990-1994 LS400's and 1992-1995 SC400's. Also, I have yet to see a comparison of the lightened rods from 1995 LS400's (1996 SC400's) with the VVTi models. They may very well be very similar.

Yes.

I don't know why, but Lexus waited an extra year before updating the SC400.

There's a pro and con to this change. For a boosted SC400 with stock engine, the pre 92-95 is more preferrable due to their stronger beefy rods. They're less likely to break. The 96 SC400 somewhat gains a few more ponies, but with skinner rods.

Well, don't forget the Mooney PFM's (PFM=Porsche Flug Motor) which roughly translates to ''Porsche aircraft engine". While the aircooled porsche engines were already setup for flight use, they discontinued the model because them motors weren't cheap!
