Molten lead poured into rear of gas pedal pivot block.... This plastic block mounts directly to metal floor pan so extra weight dampens vibration or at least reduces its frequency.

Image depicting allthe array of placement parts ordered from Lexus.... The shift rod is now stable, does not clunk or make noise. The Shift lever does not vibrate and feels more solid. The inner diameter of the replacement bushings for the connector rod swivel ends were not machined to tight tolerances to the pins but were not too far off so decided to use OEM parts instead of having them fabricated.

This is what OEM Aisin provides for timing belt kit replacement. If your indy mechanic did not replace all of these items, then you need to have a discussion. Give him an out...either he does the job correctly or you take it elsewhere and turn it over to the lawyer for collection.

Main negative battery cable terminates at the AC Compressor and Oil filter housing bracket.. Lexus uses a plated metal compressor stay. The original on this 99 LS400 is tired.

This original compressor stay is from a well maintained 1999 LS400...The plate and hardware have seen better days. Older LS400's I have looked at are far worse corrosion.

The replacement compressor stay has a different finish than the original (dichromate?) Used a test meter and it was conductive. The bolt and nut are steel, generously Zinc-plated.

The L-shaped Compressor Stay grounds to the enginet block via the hexagon-shaped spacer shown. Plenty of corrosion depicted here. Not replaced, but will be on next parts order.

Compressor Stay is 88431and nut is 90179-08037 in Lexus exploded parts diagram. The ground starpa mounting bolt is not depicted...and was unable to locate a soecific part number in the Lexus system.....perh as os a member has a suggestion (The bolt I used was the engine-to- frame ground steao bolt...the clamping washer is smaller however) Anyone with a P.N.?

The Compressor Stay ground playe also straddles the oil filter bracket hex standoff bolt # 90116-08319..The original is corroded and would respond well to replacement.
