The machine shop was challenged to remove the pressed in(?) nipple,..without destroying it, and then drilling a precision hole (tapered?), in the LS430 housing, selected this approach. Original o-ring,, thermostat gasket, fasteners and hoses.

Aluminum housing boss tapped on existing boss by machine shop to accommodate Marine grade brass hose fitting. The LS400 minor coolant hose fitting(pressed in place?) was immune to extraction without destroying the LS400 housing and uncertainty about exact hole diameter to drill (tapeted?) in LS430 housing favored a brass fitting.

Another clamp is for wire loom that runs parallel to valve cover and presses onto a bracket. The tan clamp is incorrect part reveivef from dealer.

The Oxygen sensor probe is a major restriction...and its turbulence exacerbates this. While ordinarily the sensor should reside in the middle of the exhaust stream, this sensor does not influnce ECU air/fuel mixture but monitors randomly whether cats are performing.

This engineered extender is a bolt in for 1999 LS400 through earlier 1995-2000 LS400. I would not use inserts and would consider shortening housing to bring tip of post -cat oxygen sensor closer to perimeter of exhaust pipe - the goal is not to defeat it's purpos but relocate it from exhaust st ream
