To maximizeimprove ng, ran a tap through the body ground bolt hole to remove paint and any corrosion. The engine side bolt hole looked fine. Use anti-seize compound on threads when reassembling

This image depicts secondary cable ground lug and thread cutting bolt which connects to body/frame. Both fastener and lug exhibit corrosion. Not bad for 17 years, but time to replace.

This is the yellow oxidation wiped off the lense. A water spray bottle will make the project go much faster. The instructions ate fairly straightforward and easy to follow

The original jack screw is worn. (sliderTelescopic slider and rubber bushing already removed) The original lubricant was gray due to metallic content.. The flexible link between jack screw and motor was upgraded with a mini u-joint assembly. Proper care must be used when removing upper and lower plastic column covers... You will need to turn the steering wheel 90 dgrees to access two phillips screws normally hidden byehind steering wheel. All replacement parts were easy to install..

After gluing in place, this appears to be the trimming process. Note the headliner is uniformly perforated....and has a backing layer to adhere the fibre optic strands... In a Lexus scenario, a template or some other means will need to be employed for uniformity.
