Lexus screwed up on this vehicle. I’ve had a LX570, 2 GX460s, an RCF, an RX350, a GS350, and an IS350, plus this one.

The build quality on the TX is subpar. The 3rd row power seats wouldn’t power to sitting position, the ML stereo not working, the AC now only blowing hot, the lack of any high quality interior finishes.
Did you have a resolution to your AC issue?

Question AC condenser fail

I have a new 2025 TX350 AWD/Luxury purchased 2.5 weeks ago. The AC fail was caused by a rock/road debris puncturing the condenser. Dealer is telling me the repair cost is $2,100. and not under warranty because it was hit by a rock and considered an "outside influence". From reading this thread it's obviously a design flaw that Lexus needs to address.
Anyone else recently have this issue? If so, how was it resolved?
Thanks

I would call Herrin Gear Lexus in Jackson Mississippi- ask for Stan. He knows the guy who installed the mesh protector on my Lexus TX.

The cable in the rear seats that lift/lower needs to be replaced, another common “problem” covered under warranty. Our's was making popping sounds. 2 dealers in So. Cal have replaced under warranty, most dealers will say, “normal”, FYI.

internet # 205058570, model # 57398 UPC #: 043374573985 $50

Question Install procedure?

Cut a piece 36"X8" to allow for 1" double fold on top and bottom, used my soldering iron to pierce holes for the zip ties and put it in place. The screen is essentially invisible behind the grill work. Tests are ongoing but initial results are very positive. $18 for the screen (36"X84"), $11 for the zip ties (100 count - replenish my stock), 4 mosquito bites, 15 minutes install time. Heck of a lot cheaper than $2k and battling with Lexus Corporate. That's my 8% of two bits on the subject, your results may vary.
Can/could you explain the procedure you performed to install the screen protector, please. I notice all the fastener points of plastic top cover under hood, I’m considering using metal screen material. TYIA

Default Same thing happened to me today…

I was driving along today here in Arizona and when I got to my destination I noticed smoke coming from the engine compartment as well as a hissing sound. Then it was all hot air. My car is 900 miles into it and I’m furious now seeing all these posts. I’m taking the car to the dealership service tomorrow prepared to go to battle with them if they try to blame this on me

Just wondering if such as a rock hit’s your windshield or debris from the vehicle in front of you hits your car, the damage would be covered under Comprehensive insurance. The damage was not caused by you, but “an act of God”!

i did not hit anything of note. But I doubt the insurance company would cover. The consumer always gets screwed.

Lexus will probably address this issue with a perfect fitting protective screen on future TX models and a part number will be available for order.........hopefully.........

You wouldn’t notice a pebble that is kick up from a vehicle in front of you and it slips in between the front plastic grill rails onto your exposed condenser, would you?

Default Diy from lowes

Hey all, seems like too many people are getting condenser leaks from the wide open grill at the bottom, went searching at Lowe's and I think I found a decent solution... The mesh is a bit more fine then I think the job needed but there should be some decent air flow still since the sides are wide open.

Atlas gutter guard stainless 3' by 5". All I had to do is drill some holes in the gutter guard frame and zip tie it to the grill. You have to take off the under cover and slide out the foam bumper cushion to slide it into place.

I agree, makes me curious IF Lexus would refund the owners who were forced to pay for the AC repairs?
My 2025 TX350 (2.5 weeks old) is currently at the dealer's service dept. waiting for Lexus to provide me a "good faith" repair.
