For those who have completed this mod...

Before I took delivery in January, I bought some mesh material to protect my innards. Yesterday I took an initial look at what the job would entail. I was able to get the under-shield removed and saw the foam bumper insert, but couldn't figure out how to get it out to allow access to the lower grille area. Is removing more of the bumper/cover required?

And while I was poking around, I also saw a small rock embedded in the upper grille area, so I may put some additional screening up there. (I'm in AZ, where rocks are EVERYWHERE)

 

I didn't remove the foam piece. I just gently bent it upwards just enough to slip the mesh through the gap.
