Default Alignment

My car has about 60k (mostly freeway) miles and on my 2nd set of tires. My front left is down to about 15-20% while the front right has about 25-35%. I'm typically keep all my tires inflated, so I don't think it's that. However, I have not had an alignment yet. Should I get one?

When I went to Big O Tires and they had four to five different alignments to buy from. They ranged from 6 months to 5 years. What's the difference? Isn't an alignment just an alignment? Unless they mean that it's good for up to that duration. But if that were the case, why even offer anything past the, shortest, 6 months...

I appreciate any clarification!

An alignment doesn't last for a specific period of time...its merely a policy that lasts for that amount of time.

I just had my 2000 RX300 aligned. It was pulling to the left after I had the pretty worn tires rotated and balanced. I do go offroad frequently, and sometimes climb curbs in my work. It was a bit out, but the real problem was, as I suspected, a bad tire. I went back and had them move that tire to the rear, and now it's OK. I am shopping for new tires anyway, so I wanted to be sure it was in alignment. Note; alignment should last a long time, maybe a year, if you don't so something to disturb it, like I do. Usually, the problem is tire or wheel related. I found I had a bent steel wheel on my Jeep Cherokee, and that in turn damaged an almost new BFG AT tire. Bummer.

A alignment will help with tire wear but you have to keep up on it any little bump you hit could throw it off.

Firestone has LIFETIME alignment (free re-alignment as long as you own the car). I paid for that and used it like 7-8 times in last 1 year.

Alignment is not guaranteed to last for any period of time. Like previous posts, any bump (big or small) could throw it off.

How much do alignments normally run you? I have a Firestone close by and wouldn't mind bringing it to them.

My car has 16k on it and still running on OEM set of tires. I do feel a drift to the left.

Same, I live where the roads can get pretty bad. So I go about every 2 months to get it checked, and there's always something off.

Firestone does lifetime alignments but your just gonna get a "in the green" alignment. The're not gonna give you any special numbers.
So your gonna get the crappy factory alignment.

are the Lifetime Alignment at Firestone once in awhile promotions? When I went there last time I didn't see anything about lifetime alignment unless you have to ask about it

Quick question not far off topic... What exactly is adjustable on our cars alignment? I know front and rear camber is static. That leaves front and rear caster and toe. Are those adjustable both front and rear?
