Default strange brake problem (gs300)

I was driving my car today, and as I was coming to a stop (several times) the pedal would suddenly give out if that makes sense. In other words, I would be coming to a stop with the brakes feeling normal, then suddenly the pedal would just loosen up and dip down. i would have to press the brake harder to come to my stop. It seemed like there was a little bump felt first in the pedal before it dropped. Any ideas?

Yes, you need to search, it has been covered many times including by myself.

Very informative post!!!

Sounds like air in your lines somewhere. Check for leaks and bleed brakes. ABS can be very hard to get the air out, you just have to do it over and over till you get it.

so I did add fluid to the reservoir. The brake light was on because the fluid was low. I'll check for leaks then? I'm guessing you don't lose brake fluid unless there is a leak. Thanks for the help guys, I just bought the car and I'm trying to get this thing running right so I really appreciate it.
