Recently I noticed that sometimes when I press my barke the pedal feels free till it almost reaches the floor then I fel the brake actually being applied. When this happens, if I immediately release and re-press the brake pedal the brake feels normal. The wierd thing is that it will somedays and other days the brakes feel normal all day. I had a local mechanic shop bleed the brakes but the problem is still there. Can anyone tell me what could be causing this. I plan to take to the dealer but would like to have an idea as what the problem might be so I dont get ripped off.
Yup check that out. See if it's leaking any fluid. It may also be your brake lines. They are rubber so over the years or when heated up they can expand. That maybe a reason why you only feel it sometimes.
