Default Driver side Brake pad install problem

Its my first time changing the pads since i purchased the car last month and ran into a little issue with the drivers side brake pad install...

on the passengers side, the bolt which is removed to swing the caliper down it slides left and right to componsate the slack with new /used pads correct? just as the lower bolt which you do not remove does the same... that top bolt moves left + right and slides into place w/ ease and no issues when new pads are placed. Now as for the drivers side, after the new pads are placed in pistons pushed back, when i try to pull the caliper back up, the upper bolt where im suppose to screw back on does not slide left and right as it did on the passengers which now gets stuck because the new pads extends the outer caliper out a little causing it not to line back up... i tried hammering that bolt inwards thats suppose to move left n right on top but no luck, tried wd40 the works... any help as to how to solve this little dilemma? Thanks.

i took the info from here to guide me:

yes the sliding bolts are suppose to well...slide

The one that is stuck is well...stuck. You're going to have to try to find a way to pull it out and clean up the pin, then grease it. Ive done a few of these before. This is why I dont like floating type calipers. Most are made out of iron/steel and will tend to get hot, thus the grease inside dries up. You'll get uneven pad wear when this happens.

Use a socket and try turning the pin a little bit to break it free from the dried up grease. Then spray some wd-40 inside.

is it possible to turn the pin? i gave it a couple wacks with a rubber hammer + iron hammer to see if itll break free but no luck, i was thinking of using the socket to see if itll break but wasnt sure if it was meant to turn like a regular bolt so i didnt want to damage anything or make matters worse. i just took a quick look it started to rain, but the rubber seal is torn apart... i guess all that gunk got inside. thanks for the quick response!

also, does anyone know where i can pick up a pair of anti rattle shims, and those metal pins that you remove after swinging the caliper down? a part # would be great.

i just placed the order from carsons for the 2 parts. for the anti squeal spring, do they just pop out (pulling towards engine)? or do i need to remove it like a normal bolt? this is the same bolt thats stuck. im planning to grip it with a monkey wrench tomorrow and hammering away till it pops out if it just pulls outward. its now drenching in wd40 now, but raining weathers keeping me from doing anymore till tomorrow.

GSteg, i think i might have misinformed you as of which parts i needed, so i took a pic off a siteand circled them in red. if anyone can help me with the name and part# to these items that would be great. i tried using carsons website, but no diagram shows up and is hard for me to pinpoint what part i need since i dont know the names of the items.

is there a site you have this information on? most sites ive found do not show a pictorial diagram of parts which makes it a little hard to identify. but thanks! i replaced the order from carsons.

I have access to part numbers. A close friend of mine works at a dealer.
