dealership usually has them for under $100/side since it's a common thing for GSs.

there should be a DIY somewhere...try searching.

special tools: you'll need a 2 or 3 claw SST puller. free to rent at autozone (you pay like 30 bucks up front but you get it back once you return it).

I'd do it for you for Outback Steakhouse if you were in Chicago .
...not sure why but have a craving for Outback now lol.

You should be fine. I just changed mine @ 103,xxx miles and the ball joints weren't TOO worn. It had just a little play in it and a bit squished compared to new. I do need to change my tie-rod ends though. The rubber boots are broken and now spewing grease everywhere.

Yeah that worries me that I will give it to a nice shop and then get work that is not done, and work that I do need is done crappy!

No, that is fine, I will try and PM here or drop an open message to him, don't want to invade his privacy!

This just happened to me tonight. 109k miles.

From what I saw the ABS wire snapped but my fender damage didnt look so bad, probably be fine if I roll them. I'll see the carnage tomorrow morning...

When you broke your ball joint did it turn on your VSC,ABS, VSC OFF on your dash??? beacause i just broke mine and luckly i was in my driveway. But when it broke those three turned on in my dash. I just replaced the ball joints on both sides and those three lights are still on, and i unhooked my battery and it still didnt turn them off. Can anyone give me some advice on what to do please?
