Are you talking about the one on the back deck or the one on the rear spoiler.

Don't have the answer to either one, but somebody who does will want to know.

Here's a bulb guide I found and sent Henry the other day that lists all the bulbs for the car. He just put it up as a sticky in the lighting forum. I set this one for a 2000 GS (not sure what year yours is click here

For the GS...the inside rear deck 3rd brake light uses more than 3 bulbs.....about 5 or 6 #194/168 bulbs if memory serves me right....same ones as side markers and wedge.

To remove and replace it, you need to slide the 3rd brake light unit to either the left or right ( i forget since its been a while) ....about 1/2 inch..... and you should be able to free it from the rear dash. Disassembling the unit is a breeze.

Pete

Lolz glad I wasn't the only one that did't' know how to do this. I'm talking about the light int he back dash. I'll check it out tomorrow morning. It's getting quite annoying with the brake lamp warning light on along with my check engine light and vsc light feels like all the lights are one lolz

BTW: Thanks dave.

Are there 2 seperate fuses for the 3rd brake lamp on the y2k gs4? I replaced all 5 bulbs but the same side is dead. I notice 2 seperate wires going through one to the left and 1 to the right, so there should be 2 fuses shouldn't it?
