can it be put back to spec? I was thinking of going with the same set up for now since its way cheaper and I really dont want a tire ware problem I'll probably do coils when there is a camber kit ready because I dont want to spend 1k+ for coils that I cant lower to where I want them unless I get tire ware.

Check your toe setting as well the camber. A little neg. camber is good. Too much neg. camber is bad. If you got toe out....that may be the reason for the front inner tire wear.

btw, I have 20" wheels

with 20s you are better off already, coz' the car already sits higher. alignment being out of spec on lowered GS is pretty usual i think

is there anyway to have the rears at 0 degrees camber? (straight up and down)

if lowered, i don't think you can achieve that.

but why would you want that? i believe even the spec is negative

Yeah, you don't want 0 degrees negative camber-the stock spec is aprox. 3/4 degree negative (rear)and if you can get close to that with the available adjustment you should be good. As mentioned, the toe setting is critical too so the tires are not "scrubbing" while rolling.

wheel size does not alter ure camber setting on the car. by running larger wheels all u r doing is artificially raising the car by having a larger overall wheel and tire diameter. however the alignment will still be the same, u can change to all sorts of wheels, larger and smaller all day long and that won't affect ure alignment. if by some miracle u can set ure alignment to 0 degrees camber, u would still get horrible tire wear. now instead of the inside of the tires wearing down u'll start experiencing increased tire wear on the outside of the tread. as the vehicle enters the corner the tire is going to roll over a little bit, if u have some negative camber built into the suspension then as the vehicle enters the corner the tire ends up being flat on the road, providing u w/ an optimal contact patch. soo, u want some negative camber. even if ure camber is out of spec there are way to still get even tire wear. the first thing is to run higher tire pressures, which u should be doing anyhow to protect the wheels from bendage. the second thing to look at is how u drive. if ure an agressive driver, ie u like to corner then you'll also experience more even wear as the tire rolls over more.

toe is also a huge factor in tire wear. running too much toe in either direction whether in or out will cuase the tires to wear very very quickly. even if ure dropped pretty radically u should still be able to get ure toe alignment back to or very close to spec. remember toe out, or 0 toe in frt and 0 toe or slight toe in in the rear.

actually unless you have 20s or fat setup, getting 17s, 18s, and 19s with teh correct tires won't really throw out the overall diameter of the wheels

guess i shoulda specified that by correctly plus sizing u do not affect the overall diameter of the wheel tire combination. however even if u make an incorrect or slightly off plus sizing then ure alignement will still be exactly the same. the only way u can alter the alignment besdies adjsting the camber and toe bolts is to alter the suspension geomtry by either raising or lowering the vehile via coilovers or springs or by bending something in the suspension.
