Default Interior rear view mirror details

OK, so I searched the forum and could not find what I was looking for, so forgive me if this has been covered. What I want is to tap into the electrical harness for the central rear view mirror and install a power connector for a dashcam I want to clip into the rear view mirror. I do not want to run a usb wire to a lighter socket - I want a neat local mod. Does anyone have details of central mirror removal (I could find some but not with detailed pics) and most importantly, the pinout diagram on the wiring connector for the mirror (could not find any guidance)?

The mirror wiring harness does have +12 volt available when car is ON. It is not powered when vehicle is off.

You have to remove Map Lamp assembly and the Mirror Stay Holder cover. The cover has hooks on each side that point inward.

Once those are removed, the mirror base pivots about 45 deg counterclockwise to release from its mount.

I will test further but it looks like the dashcam is now wired and working. There is enough room in the upper compartment to sneak in a small 12V to usb circuit so it all looks as I wanted it to - neat and hidden.
However I have a new minor issue. The metal base on the glass is in good shape but the clip which actually mates with the base and screws in behind the mirror (it looks a bit like a metal spider and has four legs) has one leg clearly broken. It's an old car and someone has been there before me. Oh well. But now that I know the mirror wobbles a bit when attached I need to fix it. So... does anyone know the part number for just that metal clip. I would hate to buy the whole mirror assembly just for a simple metal part which is trivial to screw in.

Did you find a solution to the re-mounting of the rear view mirror ?
