Nothing works :(
I was trying to get power for a push button from the 15a fuse in the driver foot fuse box second column closets to the door and towards the bottom. My wire was threaded all the way to the middle compartment when it accidentally hit a negative wire. it caught on fire , i turned the car off but now when i try to turn it on, switch opens, climate control has power. radio has not power navigation does not work and it does not cranck. I checked and the fuse is ok(connected). but its brown on the positive side where i took power from. any idea what could be it/could possibly fix it? I know its a long shot

did you replace the fuse already?

I'd replace it regardless if discolored to start off. Inspect others as well

there are main fuses in another location and one of those may have blown.
i have the schematics of the car.

Hopefully the fuses in your car did their job and blew when you shorted the wires.
Now the tough part is to figure out which fuses blew.
You can test them in place with a multi-meter. Just set your multi-meter to OHMS and put your probes on the little metal parts of the fuse tops.

For the few bucks, go to Harbor Freight and purchase the circuit tester. You can test all the fuses in the car in no time.

There's also the chance that the fire either damaged contacts or singed them enough to make the contacts intermittent or unreliable. You might have to go in and clean the contacts or worse, replace the fuse box. Hopefully it is just another fuse or two somewhere that need to be replaced.

Did you not have a piece of electrical tape over the end of the wire as you feed it down the inside of the kick panel?
