Default Pulling a fuse (inside fuse box)

ok silly question... (maybe)..
... just got a 2013 RX 450h and want to install my Escort 8500 with remote extension cord (and turn "off" button). I traced the wire from passenger side visor (clipped the Escort) down right rail to under dash, and will velcro the little remote button to left side of center console (down low) and ran power line to driver side fuse box. I may just wire into a power outlet fuse but the fuses are very small and I am not sure how to pull them (too small and close to fit my fingers). I was going to wedge the power wire back in with the fuse (dont this before). The manual mentions a fuse puller but I see none inside (maybe it refers to under hood fuse box).

I was going to use a small screw driver but do not want to mess anything up...

Any insights appreciated....

Thx

If it's tight you can use a paper clip bent into a small 'u' shape, just slip it over the top of the fuse and pull down.

Thanks. It is such an awkward position (and i cannot focus my eyes that close) I cannot grab it.
Guess I need tpo pick up one of those mini fuse puller tools.

I wanted to maybe add a mini fuse tap with wire hanging off it to connect to radar wire but then I would not be able to get cover back on although the Bussman brand seems to have a right angle to connect the fuse so maybe it would fit..

I suspect I cannot just connect the radar wire to an empty slot in the fuse box even though the radar wire has its own fuse?

If you go to the Do-it-yourself Maintenance section under checking and pulling fuses of your Manual, it should show you the location of the fuse puller located in the fuse box under the hood.

Thx. I did see in the manual how to remove the snaps under the hood and got to the puller.
I pulled a fuse under the dash and slide it back in with a wire to the detector.
All done.. Thx
