I have 02 Lexus SC430. I did not drive for a few week. than the weather got colder.so I need to start it make sure it still running. it start only a few minutes than it shut dow.

Can anybody know what is wrong with it.

Good new. now my car is back to normal start. what I did is I charged the battery for 3-4 hours than I started the car and still keep the charger connected. than 10 minutes later I disconnect the charger and the car keep running normal. the next day I did start again and it started right away.

I would have someone look at your alternator. It sounds like your car is only running off the battery. Hopefully I am wrong.

You can take it to autozone, Oreilley's or just about any name brand auto part store and they will check it for free.

 

I think you are right . I did start again today. it run for only 5 minutes than shut down.So it sound right Alternator stop functioning.stay tune. I will replace one next summer.
