Has anyone installed a performance chip in their SC (besides the Blitz Throttle Controller)? If so, what chip did you use and did you notice a difference?

Don't waste your money.

I had one a few years ago... I think it was called "Jet Chip". Honestly, I believe they took my ECU, put a sticker on it that said "Void if seal is broken" and sent it back to me. I noticed no improvements in any way whatsoever. There are old threads discussing this topic, too... I'm sure you can search them out.

By the way, the link says the item was removed when I clicked on it.

The Blitz Throttle Control isn't a chip, it's an add-on module that cuts throttle travel in half.

Don't believe those "chips" that you see out there all over the net and ebay. There is no such thing. Stay away.

I suggest looking into an Apexi SAFC. It is a piggy back controller that will adjust air/fuel ratios for more power. I would especially recommend it for cars with intake/header/exhaust.

The thing is that you need to have it professionally tuned on a dyno. A good tuner who knows what they are doing can tune it fairly quickly and easily so it won't be expensive. But with there is plenty of power gains to be made with the 3UZ's so in my opinion the cost is worth it.

Thanks for all the feedback. So I guess it's between the Apexi or the Blitz. I wish I could see some dyno results or comparisons between the two.

The Apexi AFC-neo is the latest version? I couldn't find SAFC or SAFC II as some others have mentioned on clublexus. http://www.apexi-usa.com/products/?id=5347
