If I had to do it all over again I would go with the Dragon TC as the performance difference is pronounced between the two. Night and day. Nothing wrong with this one, just that it still weighs the same as stock so there is no rotational savings there. No CEL light. I can say for certain that this option is not as quick as the Dragon TC.

Think mines a 2800. I bought this tranny cooler

I paid something like £30 ($60) to buy it.

I should think it would take an hour to install if you paid a garage so an hours labour.. $50 ? maybe

Although for best results change the headers as well, works very well with both mods

Im pretty sure the Dragon is a higher stall either way its much more aggressive which is why it kicks on the CEL.

Both 2800rpm, I had the Dragon in my GS4, figured I would try the Lextreme on the SC. The Dragon will peal away rubber all day long, this one is better than stock but not near the Dragon converter. If you are looking for performance just get the Dragin (used ones pop up here all the time) keeping in mind the possible CEL issue.

Pearlpower .. can u chime in on the tranny cooler install.. what is the labor like? would it really only be about an hr labor thru a tranny shop?

A lot of guys have paid about $250- about $375 for iinstall. If you can get the dealer to do it you may pay upwards of $600.
I was qouted $350 from a tranny shop.

Any recent update on this? I think PearlPower (Lee) has left the forum but I'm wondering if anyone else committed to a Torque Converter Upgrade. If so, which one? What stall speed? and what are the results? Any CEL?
