PearlPower, I am curious how is your TC project turning out..

I hope it is going well. Also you would be a miracle worker if you found a solution to not make the CEL come on.. I remember I called SRT and asked MO would I get CEL on a 430 engine, he didn't elaborate but said he can install it and no CEL would come on.. I don't know if he knew a way or just not aware of the CEL problem on the 430..

Scheduled for this week. Picked up a new floor trans jack to assist in this. So look for an update shortly.

OK, 2800 stall getting installed. Have a new trans jack to facilitate an easier and safer install. Will provide an update within a couple of days.

Just an update:
200+ miles with the new 2800 stall converter installed.
So far no issues. Will post more next week once some more miles are put on.

I really appreciate the nice pics ! I am not sure if you are aware that JPI supposively made a relay to reset the CEL light everytime you turn on your car for the 430 guys.. Whats your opinion on going to 3000 stall speed? From what I researched on here, most people do 2800 and I seen all the way to 3200.. So figured 3000 would be optimal?

Thanks !

Saw that, but I have real reservations about my ECU getting reset everytime I turn off the car. I would rather it keep my learned driving patterns stored instead of defaulting to the factory settings each time, especially considering my engine mods. It takes a good while for my car to get up to snuff when I reset my ECU.

On the stall, most go with 2800, very few 3000 and beyond so I would wait for more feedback before installing anything more than 2800. It may be awesome but the labor involved in taking a chance is a bit too much of a gamble for some.

Thanks man for the info.. I am just curious, lets just say your CEL comes on(knock on wood), do you have a solution or have a plan on how to deal with it?

However after I installed the TQ, the shifts evened out and smoother and no more jerky.

Great combo of mods!
i have a torque converter and its great, only bad is that i have a KAZZ racing LSD/Dual cluth system with 4.26 gears(prior Owner installed) great off the start but sucks on the top end.
