I want to take off the circle L rear truck emblem and spray it black. Is that on with adhesive ? How to take off? Thanks

Hi Bill
yes it is held on via adhesive. Use a heat gun at low setting or hair dryer to warm up the adhesive and use some fishing line to remove. Finish it up with some Goo Off.

Some have used piano wire, thin string, and a flat head screwdriver as long as you are very careful to not chip the paint.

Don't forget there are two "pins" on the emblem that go into the body.

Default completely debadging........

Thanks

I've already removed the other emblems and right now the rear end looks just like bt430's.

I remember reading about the two holes on the Circle L and though possibly the emblem was screwed from the back. I intend to take it off and reinstall after I've sprayed it black.. My car's a 2004 dark (almost black) green . Took the L out of the front grill and loved the look so much I want to completely de bage it.

Bill, the two pins behind the L is not screwed on. It is used to align the emblem onto the indented area for the L symbol. Just to let you know, the L area is not flush with the body.

I compleatly debadged mine and filled in the hole for the centre L badge so it has a nice smooth rump

I hate cleaning all the muck and grime that gets stuck around the badges.. so dont have that problem now
