Default Badge / Emblem Cleanup

So I decided to pull my badges / emblems and black them out. No problem pulling the badges but could someone suggest a safe and easy way to get the glue and material off the car and the back of the badges. Finally any suggests on glue or epoxy to put the badges back on?

TIA

They make an eraser just for removing that stuff so if you know anybody at a body shop just see if you can borrow theirs and to put them back on 3m makes double sided emblem tape.

Spray with WD400. Soak and let sit for maybe an hour.

Use a hair dryer and a soft rag and you can normally rug this crap off. Take your time and you will syave the paint.

use floss+hairdryer to remove the emblem.

use hairdryer after to remove the glue. if needed use goo gone, and wash / wax directly after.

please search next time, this has been covered many times!

Way to much work listed above. Sorry guys. Goo-Gone and a terrycloth towel is all that is needed. Its safe for paint, takes ALL the adhesive off (just turn the towel every couple of swipes) and when your done, wipe the area clean with Windex before applying the new adhesive. Will take about 3min and done. I have removed and reapplied several different emblems using just the Goo-Gone, even old window tint film doesnt stand a chance against it.

The typical way everybody goes with is a hairdryer to heat up the adhesive and separate it with floss or a fishing line, something slim like that will work. Then use some goo gone to get the excess adhesive off.
