So here goes in January of this year I picked up my first Sc I knew about a month before I was going to buy it as the previous owner just needed it until he got his new ride (the exact same SC same color and everything just lower miles) so I spent that time searching to see just what I was getting into and it lead me here.

Coming from the Subaru community I was excited to get into a rear wheel drive car not knowing the SC's ties with the supra until I researched and it only built my excitement.

So the time came and I got it…. a 1992 5speed Sc300 126658 miles on the clock and I got it at a cool 1,100 bucks FTW
it had all the typical issues
-Window regs (notice tape in picture)
-climate control lcd bled out
-cracked door molding
-cracked dash vent
-popping hinges
-blown speakers
-torn/tearing leather front and back
-the rear was hit and pushed in the passenger taillight not to bad
-light body dents and dings
-paint had seen better days

Its two years younger than me and for the price I didn't expect much more it runs like a top nuff said.
So here she is

day one after cleaning up the bay a bit

I drove it just as it came for the rest of the cold season (about two months) and found that I fell in love with this car .All the while I was searching finding the ins and out of our loved SC's what people are doing and deciding what I wanted mine to be and i decided after all it is still going to be my daily and I didn't really have the funding for a project and a daily or so I thought…. so I decided to keep my mods funding friendly(not too easy with our car of choice) and tasteful so bear with me cause a lot of you guys are doing a lot bigger things than you are going to find in this build thus far. I Intend to keep this car for a long time so it will be seeing more…….

I also came to find out in my researching that the community for our cars is basically non existent in my area (Northern Ma/Southern NH) or i just can't find them as i have read a lot of you guys have the same thing going on and that was kind of hard coming over from the Subaru community but It also was cool cause I never really see them and everyone always asks what it is…..

So one winter day in february to my surprise I'm at my buddies shop and a ex coworker of his and past subaru buddy of mine came by to fix a wiring issue he was having and this is what pulls in to my suprise

Finally another Sc owner and someone I know!!! so we get to talking and his is a 95 auto SC300 Na-t he came over cause his 19s chewed through his harness haha (typical mistake for uninformed Sc owners) so we carry on he shows me his modded car I show off my not modded car… his is an auto staggered 19s stupid loud exhaust and a lot of the common issues but big single turbo setup still stock intake and throttle body and still running a distributor but thats all I really got out of him as he was not very happy about the harness… he took t as a trade for a vr6 jetta we exchange numbers and he fixes up and heads out

Later that same day he calls me saying hey you seemed like you knew a bit about the lexus and liked them and I was wondering are you looking for another one……I asked him what he wanted for it and he said he didn't need another toy with his son being born and didn't know to much about it so he would sell it to me for 1000 bucks!!!!! And thus my fate was sealed I told him I would meet him in an hour and was on my way Kind of sad though taking out the only other Sc owner I had met so far

Here she is in all her dirty glory 202,000 on the clock the night I picked her up

More pictures will be added so you guys can see her set up but I can't find them right now
So she ran like trash and seemed to be rode hard but I drove it to storage and man it is a totally different car auto and boosted I mean Wow and that drove my love for these cars much deeper but it was no such season for a slammed car on stretched tires so she was put away to sleep and focus was directed back towards my daily

The warm weather finally came along and so did the mod bug….

Exhaust

Suspension

Brakes

Grip 255/40 rear 225/40

Grab

Wheels

Test fit

Before low

more low and plasti dipped emblems

and then it was already time for camping

and then when I got back after not being able to pull into our camping site with out a couple boards of wood I decided that more low was the key

and this is how she sits now

and on to sorting out the 95 for more fun but its a mess right now and funding is cut as I am out of work right now

I do all my own work without a shop or solid collection of tools so these get the work as I can perform it but I make due with what I've got

Update
So Update 5speed loves the coil overs and after 10000 miles I've no complaints but I need to support them with updating the rest of the suspension cause its starting to feel a little sloppy which is no surprise as I haven't been running end links since I installed the coil overs I know dumb but its really not that bad. Regardless they will be in my new setup also need motor mounts I cracked one trying to do the oil pan gasket without pulling the motor BAD IDEA lesson learned

SO

Front suspension is on hold cause I'm waiting to purchase the Figs Pro Angle Kit but my money tree is waiting for spring to blossom

http://shopfigs.com/v1/index.php?rou...product_id=285

So focus is on the rear here a mock list of what I'm going with for some weekend slides.

UCA and LCA on hold waiting for Figs Mega Arms for lack of finding anything else (any Input would be cool)
BV-Traction rods
BV-Toe rods
BV-Sway bar endlinks
Driftmotion-Motor Mounts
BV-Solid Diff Bushings front and rear

Thats all All I got so far and will update with pics soon!

Something Broke Today

I had a feeling it was coming whatever is going on its the rear of the car……. made it home at least

Symptoms

Sounds like a hard rubbing/clunking over bumps
Slop from rear in turns and also clunking
Delay in power during clutch release and accel
Clunking when braking/coming to a stop

Im scared of something like this

Ive yet to get under it and look cause 60 mph winds and rain is not for me

Ill update with findings when I get under it……mid 30s all week PERFECT

Better late than never so the parts came in still need to order bushings for the install.... turns out the banging I was hearing in the back was a seized coilover from all the salt and crap this winter so I pulled it apart and cleaned it up and made sure it was functioning properly passenger side traction and toe rods are bent slightly Im wondering if that had any part in it as well.

Also attacking my headlights they were cloudy and taking in water not sure if Im going to leave them stock or go with a retrofit as there are some cool ones we will see.
