Well said OLT. I've had my SC400 for 2 weeks now. I joined this forum to share with and learn from all of you. A great group here.

A very well reasoned mission statement, sir. And these last few years just wouldn't have been the same without your guidance.

The passage about being over every inch of the car a million times in the last decade really hit me. I've owned lots of cars and have loved most of them- but my SC just captivates me. There's something about this car that resonates. Almost like the car itself had a presence.

This is my second SC, the first being a prime example of OEM. It was a '92 Garnet Red SC3, missing almost everything and with everything that could go wrong. I bought it off eBay since I thought my Audi was toast. Battery terminal was DOA and I had to go immediately to the Lexus stealership. That car brought me nothing but heartache, exhaustion and fatigue.

BUT I LOVED THAT CAR.

Beat up, broken, uncomfortable - it still had that sense of something SPECIAL. Now that I'm privileged to own a much more pristine example, I finally understood.

That was extremely moving, and I couldn't agree more.

Bravo, beautifully spoken sir.

I agree 100%, these are enthusiast cars. When I first bought mine in 02 with 49k miles, it was a car I could drive everyday without any sort of repair. Fast forward 10 years later, I just du ped 7k in this beast between all suspension, brakes, timing belt (and all gaskets and pumps) plus new paint, emblems, baffles, tires, interior electronics, etc.. I'll post pics in a few weeks, but it's an enthusiast car now.
