I also have to agree with OLT. I knew nothing about this SC when I first picked it up over five years ago. I was searching and found this site. I couldnt see some of the pictures, so I joined, been hooked ever since. This community has led me to meet several quality people through the years and many repairs and fixes. I felt compelled to do the swap since 17 and 18 year old kids were doing it. The bottom line is that this website is ran by many volunteer moderators and quality posts from all the SC owners out there. Lets keep this section clean, simple, and back to the basics..... Post quality items and information and of course, many, many, pictures!!!

This is a really great read i printed off 2 copy's of it to post on the wall in my garage by my 1st sc that is on race car status now. I own 2 sc's both org 5 spds and could not agree more with this entire post, no matter how many times i had ecu issue's on the race car, or how many motors my stock ecu ate in my daily it was always ok because the cars were worth the sleepless nights and all the bloody knuckles and such. Every thing in that post was spot on shure the clusters act screwy and the climate controls rarely are 100%, and you get excited when you see a butterfly cup holder still in all it glory, these cars are what they are and not only do we make them what they are, they make us who we are...

Very nicely put, OLT. I bought my car just under a year ago and with the help of this forum I have made several upgrades and repairs that I didn't have to do trial-and-error with. My last "enthusiast car" was the 1989 Camaro I bought new and sold last year. Over the 20+ years I owned it I spent over $50k on it and modified it so much that it constantly needed some kind of attention. The appeal of the SC was it's uniqueness and durability, I don't have to constantly do something to keep it running even at 270k miles.Being part of the community means that when I come up with something unique that improves the car's functionality or durability I will always post up details and results, I've got a couple of things in the works right now!
