Handle
Neal,
It is called the Front Pillar Assist Strap and it costs ~$12.
You can find it at www.parts.com and if that is too hard to find.. just go to the dealer.

those are handle bars that exists in most 'sports' cars. I thought it was for the lateral G's. Help you hold on during those tight turns around a track.
I pulled mine too hard trying to move my car once in the garage in neutral (too lazy to find key and start the car) and it came loose. All it is is like a screw that holds in the bar so too much force will damage it.

that's my "mom's handle", everytime she rides with me, she stays attached to it from the time she gets inside all the way until we arrive to our destination
the interesting part is that I dont really drive that fast with her in the car, but she says it "feels too close to the ground" heheheh
