Default Driver Side Window Problem *sigh* :(

Hey, everyone! Big apologies if this has been asked before. I was searching for a WHILE but couldn't find a similar problem.

Basically, my driver side window is stuck down. The window motor works just fine... I pulled the door panel off and the regulator looks fine, also - I believe. However, when I pull the switch to raise the window it only goes up about an inch, and then just stops. The track looks fine, all the wiring looks fine... I'm not sure what's going on with it.

Anyone have any ideas?

Anyone in the SoCal area, near the desert (Palm Springs area), that wouldn't mind taking a look at it? lol

I have a feeling I'm going to have to take it to a local mechanic. *sigh*

What screw behind the upper panel might that be? I've had the door panel off several times now, and there are several screws for the trim pieces that are missing, but I didn't notice any of the more critical screws missing... I'll have to look again, I suppose.

mine was doing this but then the driver switch stopped working for my passenger side. My lock/unlock still works from both door switches. Passenger switch will still make window go up and down. Driver side cant even control the passenger side. Any idea?

You probably have a break in the wiring.

Anyone have any idea why mine is stuck open and will only roll up about an inch, and is also able to go back down? For the life of me I just can't figure out why it won't roll up all the way. It only comes up about an inch, or so, and that's it... Any ideas from anyone? lol

If the regulator looks fine, then I'd say the motor is bad. It take less resistance for the window to go down vs. up. Take the motor off, tear it down and clean everything out and check the brushes.

Interested if you ever were able to source this issue. It sounds similar to my window, which has been taking short blips down while I push it down, and only goes up after going all the way down, and then getting stuck down for seeral minutes, and after trying up to 10-15 times to get it to go up, it finally does.
