Vibration During Braking
I have a 94 Sc400 and when I apply the brakes I get a shimmy pulsating type of vibration which can be felt through the brake pedal. Which tells me its coming from the rear brakes and not the front. I thought it was the rear rotors possibly being warped and causing the vibration. So I replaced the rotors and there was no change. All suspension bolts are torqued to spec. The brake pads are wearing evenly, so I dont see any problems with the caliper. Any suggestions as to what may be causing this.
Fronts can cause the pulsation to come through the pedal as well. If you feel the pulsation in the seats or feel and back and forth motion of your head then usually its from the rears.
I'm 99% sure its coming from the rear. Often with a problem with the front rotors you can feel the pulsating through the steering wheel. The entire rear end shakes upon medium pressure on the brake pedal. Light pressure don't notice hardly any vibration and if I slam on the brakes theres no vibration/pulsating...

A great majority of breaking comes from the front. Every single time I have ever felt pulsating during breaking in any vehicle I have owned it's always turned out to be the front rotors. You can turn them but they are so cheap just buy new ones.
Check the caliper bolts with the bushing that goes on the end. Duralast makes replacement bolts and bushings. If they are bad or broken off, you should be able to feel the looseness in the calipers when you grab them and try to jostle them. Floating caliper systems suck when they get old. Fixed calipers with many pistons are so much better.
