Do not depend on the color, instead use pin location to do the wiring. If you look at the diagrams, you should be able to find out which connector is which by finding the amount each pin has. a b and c all have a different amount of pins so you can figure it out that way.

the connectors are labeled in the exact same way as the pins. right to left. up to down.

top right gray = a
middle blue = b
left white = c
bottom right orange = d

Yes, it has been successfully done. It's a LOT of work but possible. Search for "digital dash" or "soarer dash" and you'll find plenty of info

Lol, it's funny about how most people hate the digital dash....minus the ones who didn't have it.

There's always complaints all over soarer boards about how half of the cluster will fail. Though I will admit, it looks pretty cool, has that awesome old school effect

If I swap a 98 sc400 cluster into a 92 sc300, can I just jump the resistor at the rear of the cluster like the 1jz sc400 guys do? So the tach can read correctly.

You wont have to jump any resistors but ive red that your tach and/or speedometer will be way off. Dont quote me on that though.

Okay, I'm officially confused.

I took mine out, and my plugs seem to be backwards or something.

Looking at the back, from right to left, I put A, B, and C on them, respectively. When I was doing my wiring (currently attempting to wire up the D plug) it seems like my B is actually my C plug. The wiring on MY "B" plug doesn't match up at all with the excel file.

However my "C" plug does.

Also one other thing, on the excel document there is;

1c->2d
6c-2d

Is this a typo?

Yeah, soarer13oy has an excel sheet lol.

Hey account, what year is your SC??

Mine is a 92, so a lot of things didn't hook up.

And does anyone have an idea why my cruise control doesn't work anymore?? It illuminates when I hit the button the stalk, but it doesn't actually work.

BUTTTT man, I'm loving this cluster! Well worth the confusion and headaches

6c from the diagram gets spliced to the clock/outside temp guage so i found the wire that went to the clock outside temp guage from the 99 cluster and it happened to be 2d also. Maybe wrong but mines working fine so i cant complain.

That explains a lot, mine doesn't have an outside temp.

Any luck with cruise control?

The light turns on when i turn it on but im thinking my cruise control issue has to envolve the wiring done on my swap. As of right now i am going to pull the engine out and put in another block. While im doing this i will go over my harness and make corrections.
