all my gauges work but my speedometer..even the ext temp and the mpg...

 

you followed the sheet he sent you and it all works perfect ? I have to do mine I had an issue getting the right cluster and now I dont have one anymore. Gotta shop around again

 

I was told my speedometer didn't work because i had a 97+ SC400 cluster and a 2000 SC400 dash harness. The sc400 has a 2 wire speed sensor and the sc300 has a3 wire so even if you hard wire the harness where do you tie in the extra wire? Everything else worked fine from what i was told again but the speedometer. So Im gonna give it another shot with a 97 SC300 dash harness and the 97 SC300 cluster. Hopefully I will get lucky and everything works fine.

Does anyone have info on the SC400 cluster working properly in a sc300?

 

interested in the wiring diagram. also anyway to get the outside temp display to work?? i know im bumping an old thread fyi

 

guys, the speedo probably isnt working with your 98+ cluster swaps because the speedo on the 98+ gets its signal straight from the ABS computer (which uses a 2 wire reluctor wheel speed sensor).
the 92-97 use the 3 wire gear driven sensor on the back of the trans.

so i'm guessing you're going to have to make sure the speedo wire at the cluster is coming from the ABS ecu.

 

My speedo works perfectly fine.

 

If you can get the wires from the temp senor to the cluster i dont see why
it couldnt work

Also Soarerboy, where is the temp sensor at? I have the entire dash and harness complete.

 

The temp sensor is in front of the car. My car came with a temp reading so i didnt have a problem, if you can run the wires to the cluster, the temnp reading should work.
