There is a write up somewhere on here with pics. I was going to do a full write up on the front and rear bushings but I'm still waiting for a tracking number from Assaultech. I ordered a week and a half ago. Hope they are in stock.

lower control arm bushings - I was able to press these out and burn the rubber so what's left over was the inner sleeve. my problem now is that the inner sleeve doesn't fit inside the bushing. the lower control arm bushings is 2 different sizes. the stock inner sleeve DOES NOT fit the bushings you provided.

anyways, my car is up on jackstands and i cannot use it anymore until this is solved. please let me know if you gave me the right bushings or not because the front lower control arms doesn't fit.

if there's a write up on these, please let me know.. also, if anyone tackled this project on their own, please chime in because i need to use my car.

Thanks!!!
Hmmm, are you 10000% sure you didn't try to put the upper bushings in the lower and lower in the upper control arm?

In the Diazen kit that I had, the lower bushings were all the same size and the inner sleeves (that came with the kit) did fit very snugly into them. Are you sure you cleaned all the rubber off the sleeves and gotten them down to bare metal?

Can't think why your bushings would be different sizes though.

red pheonix and good 2 go - check out page 8 on this thread, there is a picture of the bushing kit. this is the exact kit i got except that they didn't come with the metal sleeve for the lower control arms. if you look closely, the 4 bushings on the top of the picture are not the same. they are 2 different sizes. even the inside diameter is different where the sleeve goes. I did remove the stock bushing out of the LCA, the bushings will fit into the LCA, my problem is that the stock sleeve doesn't fit the prothane bushing. the stock sleeve is much smaller than the bushing, hence, if i install it, there's a lot of play since the sleeve is not snug in the bushing.

please help.. i'm thinking assualtech might have sent me the wrong bushings.. did anyone buy prothane kit and install it themself?

t70 - i think you ran into the same problem i did. the stock inner sleeve was too small for the bushings right? i don't quite understand the exhaust tubing that you mentioned. the out diameter might be 2" but not the inner sleeve though.... how did you get the INNER sleeve into the bushing and fit it snug?

previously, you mentioned using a 2" exhaust tubing but i think you were referring to the outside sleeve. my problem is the inner sleeve.

I think you got the wrong one...

The 2 lowers are the same - they come with NO sleeve, you reuse your old one

The uppers are ALL the same - they come with sleeves.

The outer metal sleeve in the LCA must be removed.... I burned mine out. The LCA prothane bushing slides in the actual LCA itself, no sleeve or anything.
