Prothane front control arm bushing , 53$
instead of just torching them off, get some circular drill bits and take off as much rubber as you can. That will make the torching part go by a lot faster.
And those two larger sleeves (metal insert flanges) are for the lower front. If your kit (prothane) did not come with them then you're suppose to reuse the old one. I barely could get the new bushing in so i didn't reuse it.

Still at the shop, can't move it now.
If the outer shell is different have you tried placing the bushing into the arm yet? Is it loose or a tight fit?
just ordered my kit from jegs! payed through pay-pal. just noticed today (after getting back from vacation last night) that my lower bushings are GONE!! guess i was just used to it before but, backed out of the garage this morning and felt the jerking or (slack feeling) in the front end. had my friend get in car, and back it up and tap the brakes and you could easily see that my bushing is GONE! Immediately came inside and got on clublexus and found this write up. Thanks to all of you on here! Anytime i have a question about my SC i come to this site. I've learned so much and will continue to learn every day! Thank you all!
just got it installed yesterday and what a difference! wished I had it done at first day I picked up the car. I highly recommend.
the car accelerate better, getting better mpg, brake better, handles great! the car feels way sportier than an old heavy slow response car. down side is that you feel road bump easier and now feel rear end is soft (rear is still stock)
FYI, i took it to a shop and got it done (upper and lower) for about $450 with alignment. I am too lazy to do it by myself and it took them 5 hours with 2 mechanics (1 busy burning and cleaning LCA and 1 busy in pressing upper arm).

Bumping sort of an old thread,
Does anyone actually know the difference between the 92-96 LCA bushing ( OD ) than the 97-2000 ( OD )?
Is the 92-96 bushing bigger or smaller than the 97-2000?!?!
