Well I was rolling down my window and i hear a loud bang, Get back to work do some surgery and I find this. The white piece looks like it was busted off, Couldn't find the other half. The window will still roll down , but will not roll up, Its on track still. So i've pushed it up enough to keep it closed. By the looks of this pic , anyone know what to do or buy? thnx for any help
i think i'm lookin for a new regulator, lovely. yah the little white teeth that are supposed to be thier are completely broken off. think thats the main of my problem?
Sounds like it to me. Theres a thread OLT made on repairing it, but I think you need that white part to get it fixed. I would just get a new one anyway just in case it breaks again if you do fix it.
yah ebay is showin an oem is only like 100 bucks, thats nothing, getting it installed is another story, i'll try searching for his thread , in the mean time most of the ebay auctions state that only a 92-93 regulator will work, that true?
dammit, oh well. I'm going to buy the one off ebay. We have a ton of snow headed this way. the shop wants 120.00 to install it, I dunno if i dare to do it myself.
its tricky yes.. but if your able to take off the regulator, you can install it :] we were able to do it on the driver and the passenger side.. under a day of course.. like 1-2 hours tops for both sides..
also we didnt knwo what to do.. soo our first time.. we ACTuALLY took of EVERY BOLT on the door.. soo the window was off too :[ hehehe..
haha oh well , I ended up buying one from Lexus for 119.00 , and I just have my familys local mechanic do it for 70.00 bucks. It's been back to back snow storms here. I don't feel like freezin my *** off.
