Question Window colors

Since I joined on clublexus I have owned 4 sc's and so far and noticed that every car that I've owned had different colors privacy shade .My 93 dpw sc had a brownish tint on the glass .The emrald green sc4 had a non tinted shade, the 97 sc400 had a blueish shade .Now I own a 92 black onyx and a red sc4 and the windows are brownish again .When I bought the car I had to break the passanger window to get in because both doors had broken rods .I replaced the window with one from my 97 sc400 and there is a big color difference .does anybody know if they matched the windows with the interior color or did they change shades between years.what privacy shade did your sc came with?

No window is clear. They all have a factory tint. Some are more obvious than others.

They are obvious Too obvious for me. I don't know if i will be able to get the different colors with this camera but i will try snap some pic to show the difference.I was hoping someone on here can tell me if the came a specific color to match the interior or if the years matter .Oh well , guess in gonna have to go window hunting in the junkyards here.

Its not the tints ......I dont have any tints at all .The window itself is a different color The tints will not hide the look since the part around the glass is a different color too, but I located a brown window yeasterday .The only problem is getting it out .These screws have a tendancy to get rusty and stuck .

I just recently noticed this too. One of my 97 has a brownish tint and the other is clear. I think once I get the windows tinted you won't be able to tell.

The locksmith will not be able to open the car if the rod is broken . I had a extra window from my 97 sc so I just bust the glass.I was pissed after opening the door and found peices of the regulator in the door .all I had to do was push the window down instead of breaking it . oh well ,you live and learn.
