Default Surfboard

Anyone here fit a surfboard on or in their SC300/400?

This is basically the impediment to me getting one, if it can't fit my 6'8" short board somehow. My only thought was the front seat (fold back, slide board in like a person).

That is your only option. Otherwise you are going to end up looking like my dumbazz trying to get a Bomex bumper home from Greyhound a few years ago in my Porsche Turbo.

The bumper of which actually happens to be about the size OF a Porsche Turbo.

try it with the passenger front seat tilted and motored all the way back...the length sounds like it would fit...I've had 7'6" fishing rods inside my cabin before...the trick is to angle the item in with the door all the way open or with the window down...hope this helps

Wow, you guys are helpful. Thanks.

I think if none of the "in the car" ideas work, I might try a set of soft racks.

I'm not so sure about using a hard rack. I worry about the time to install and remove, but maybe it's not that bad (Howie?).

it takes maybe 2-3 minutes to take on/off the roof rack.

i just use some pool floaties and some tie downs, if you put the floaties down and lay the board on top of them tie it down tightly with 2 motorcycle tie downs your golden

It depends on what size board of course. I had to fit mine out the sunroof or flat on the passenger seat (laid back). Like what the others said, your best bet is a nice rack.
